An auto show, sometimes called a car show or vehicle show, is an exhibition of the latest vehicle models, major debuts, concept vehicles, and out-of-print classic cars. It is often attended by top automotive industry executives, vehicle specialists, vehicle enthusiasts and journalists. Numerous auto shows take place periodically throughout the year. However, the majority are held only once a year, with the rest being canceled out of scheduling reasons. Some of the most important auto shows include the Detroit Auto Show, the North American Auto Show in Detroit, the Las Vegas Auto Show and International Auto Shows.
At these shows you will find specialized exhibits and features devoted to every type of vehicle on the road today. You will see the most up-to-date designs from manufacturers big and small, from trucks to sedans and minivans. From performance automobiles to full-size SUVs, sport utility vehicles to coupes, sport-utility vehicles and minivans, you’ll be surrounded by a veritable spectrum of styles, designs, and colors. The newest models are often on display, and the ones that aren’t are often well maintained and offered for viewing in demos or temporary photo galleries. Many full-line and dealer show venues also offer services, workshops and demonstrations for those who are interested in auto or vehicle marketing, sales or service.
Auto Shows offer consumers an opportunity to view, test drive, and buy or lease new and used vehicles. The large number of suppliers and distributors at these shows allows the consumer to compare and contrast numerous models on one screen. The larger the venue, the more likely there will be a vendor floor. Auto Shows are an excellent source for locating rare vehicles or one-of-a-kind custom cars, which often sell for thousands less than their production values. Special Auto Shows frequently showcase ultra high-performance automobiles that set the bar for the class and prestige.
